Out for superb Sunday roast at the Beaconsfield Arms, Occold just south of Eye. Then on to the small village of Gissing north of Diss for their annual classic cars and country pursuits event.

Took a lovely drive out towards Princess Risborough today, through the heart of beautiful Chilterns countryside. Saw another Morgan as well, it was quick - dark blue I think, and we speedily swapped the traditional Morganeer's greeting. Was it anyone from here?

Yes, to British by the Sea in Waterford, CT, a huge annual show organized by the Connecticut MG Club. Well over three hundred cars. Everything from Aston Martin to TVR and we came away with the 2nd place mug for the Morgan Marque...

Yesterday, but no time to post til this morning .... trip out to my local car show ... Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally ... biggest in this corner and well supported by the town ... 360 entrants and lovely weather. Mine's not a 'show car' but thought i'd drop down and support it this year rather than just rubber-necking it amongst the spectators ... for those of us who aren't obsessive polishers there was a really scenic 30 mile 'country run' before the gates opened.

Only one other Morgan there, but did run into Ewan and his Son and Gordon D and his wife (first TM member I didn't know before joining that I've ever met in the wild!! 🙂) was fine to have a chat ... also had a couple of other Morgan owners drop by for a gossip (one was there in his Stanley Steamer who'd chugged his way 30 miles there, including two 15 gallon boiler top-ups!!).

All in all a cracking day!

Thanks for taking the time to comment on the pics guys, very much appreciated. It has been a long time since I last drove my Morgan over a hundred miles on any one day, and in doing so it brought back happy memories, which made a good day even more special...

In the past I have ridden the same route on a m/cycle, driven it in an air cooled and later water cooled Porsches, though without doubt driving the Morgan through such scenery creates a feeling of extra sensory contact with everything around you in a way that is just that bit special, purring along almost deserted single track roads, all be it with the occasional roar of the V8 thrown in for good measure...
