K, Great set of pics and what a wonderful collection of machinery seems to be hiding in the North East... The furthest North classic show I have attended has been Glamis which also attracts classic machinery owners from your part of the world to display them there.. thumbs

George ... It's a fine day out ... Mr Gray (of the Gray and Adams artic trailer makers) is a great petrolhead and runs the event .. he wants to retire and it looked like the event might fail after running for over 30 years ... but he's found a group of enthisiasts to take over ... hence my desire to support the event in my little way ... surprising amount of interesting stuff about in this corner. ... just a small view of the event (no pics of the massed 'tractor-gaffers' and their lovingly restored old Fergies, Masseys and Countys).

Great that the weather was so good ... at least one pic looks over the working harbour out to sea (the one with my car in)... next land is Norway so if it's breezy it can be a 'challenge! 😄

The last two pics were of a stunning little MG .. what a little jewel of a car ... I always play a game of 'which one would I take home' .... for this show it was that one! 😛

K

That MG like many of the machines in your pics is as close to being categorised as automotive jewellery, so much so that it seems more likely to be treasured than driven... I have been guilty of that too...each to their own..

It was good to finally meet another TM member and have a blether K, and that's a great selection of pictures. I didn't take much pics but simply had to video Dangerous Steve on that crazy mono wheel contraption at the end of his display crazy2

It was such a nice day, thanks for posting the pictures, I yapped so much I can hardly remember looking at the cars. I’m glad we bumped into each other Keith but I’m disappointed I missed you Gordon, you must be wondering if I exist at all 😂

Drive your Morgan to work day! Starter motor has gone on the MG - it looks like the original so 44 yrs old and has been used at least twice a day for the last year so can't fault it. New one on order so will fit Saturday. Fingers crossed for no rain for the next two days......

Unlike the myriad of possibilities for electrical issues on modern machinery, MGB and others of the era are repairable using basic kit, and in some cases costing no more than a few bob, if we are tallking replacing carbon brushes or stripping and cleaning solenoid contacts, all of which is so very different from the potential costs of modern machinery repairs, which it seems can take numerous trips back and forth before the dealership might manage to resolve the issue on something as complex as brake lights.. Hmm...!

Yeah just living up to my chosen forum I.D.... again..(-:
