I certainly appears that from the start of long door production until around 2012/13, all you got was a flat strip of neoprene to stop the rattle. My Roadster was like this. I don't recall whether my 2012 had the new seal, it may have had a retro fit before I bought it as I dont recall doing a mod.

The picture shows a very badly rigged side screen on a brand new car in a show room. A few years ago, when I was modifying mine.

Yep! Ice Pack,

Brand new doesn't mean perfect in the Morgan world. You'd think the dealer would put them right but its easier for them to do it through the customer warranty!

The best cars on the market are usually nearly new trade in's sorted by a dealer to sell through them.

Keith,

Don't order the new seals as they won't fit your car!

My 2005 4/4 had no seals at the a pillar.
I refitted the new seals without any problem but I was told that the new rubber seals sometimes don't fit on every older long door trad.
For my car it was a very cheap and fantastic improvement!
Wörth every penny/€ ten times.

Thanks to all contributors esp. sewin. Not planning to do anything before our trip to France. Allon White is my nearest dealer and this is what they had to say

Thank you for the photo’s. it is very hard to tell from them but they do look pretty standard
There are new sidescreen rubbers that came out a few years ago and are fitted on the newer cars. The are like a square channel but they are £26.31 incl VAT each side and just replace the ones you currently have. They hold the sidescreen in better

Of course we shouldn’t be driving with the sidescreens on but my wife prefers it that way. I think there’s something funny going on as IMHO the rubbers should match each other.

Keep it coming
