Checked rear brakes. Pleased to find no corrosion. After cleaning and adding a little Ceratek behind slave covers, very lightly smeared grease away from shoe surfaces. Swapped in spare as it had the most tread left now after 30,000 miles. Will fit new tyres at end of season as they approach six years.

Also greased front suspension in timely fashion using new electric gun fitted with quick attach head which works wonderfully. Slight play found on o/s wheel which as expected remained after greasing as kingpins are new. Will reset pre-load on new bearings later.

I replaced my bulky GPS speedo with a little one. Unlike the previous one you can set the buzzer so it goes of after 8 hrs of driving not 1 hr.
It also is more discreet hidden under the dash.

Machined up a new one piece steel front pulley for my 1971 4/4 as a suitable sized chunk of steel came into my possession. Turning it was simple, cutting the woodruff key slot was a pain. Took it to a mate who has the facilities.

Finished off the TR2 spec engine for my 1955 Plus 4 4 seat Drop Head Coupe.

Then got a phone call from our local hospital which I had been praying for the last ten days....my partner had come out of her induced coma. She was admitted with some sort of infection which caused multi organ failure. Not out of the woods yet but getting there. For now, Mog work is on the back burner!

Best of good wishes for a speedy and full recovery for your wife from one who
was fortunate to dodge the dreaded sepsis a few months ago thanks to great medical care in our local hospital!

Cheers!

Thanks all for the kind words, thoughts and prayers. Feeling absolutely blessed

Sam is continuing to make good progress, today the nil by mouth was lifted and I was duly dispatched to the hospital shop for a can of Vimto and an ice lolly.

Thanks to the nursing staff in the ITU, can't thank them enough, on their feet 13 hours each shift looking after both Sam and me. It must of been very upsetting for them as well as Sam works in the same hospital and has done for the last 25 years and most of them know her.

Special thanks to Andrew and Lynne Brown (brownbaker) who looked in on my dad so I could be with Sam...great bloke!
