Perhaps because I am (or was before retirement) an Information technology professional, which included managment of software and hardware customer support for the Australian division of a Japanese company, and I still fiddle with microprocessor projects, building, designing printed circuits and programming for fun, I quite like a lot of the tech in a modern car.
We are going to reduce the family fleet by one in the near future (we really can't justify to cost of two cars plus the Morgan). I insist on having all of the list above, plus adaptive cruise control. The only one I would willingly do without is the lane sensors but you are going to get that with the package anyway.
As far as zoned climate control is concerned you often find that the driver, who is more active, requires cooler air than the passengers who (should) have a less active roll in the car. I drive with lights on all the time if the car does not have automatic lights. The Jag is always set to automatic and it works well, including the full beam. Given the intensity of modern headlights it is more the automatic dipping to low beam that is important rather than automatic full beam.
The actual make has not been decided but it will be one of those combi type things which is based on a small van. It will suit our luggage carrying requirements when we go on holidays, or transfer to the "summer palace" and must be able to carry 2 bikes in order to expand our range when we want to go for a pedal somewhere.

The car makers are being pushed by the competition to provide the safest vehicles. Who would have thought Volvo would cause such trouble eh?
So the safety scores are promoted, not a bad thing in many ways but has it gone mental? Cars are now mostly peer equal with the exception of brave Dacia, this means all of the gubbins we mostly switch off weighs 40Kgs (?) and costs £2k (?) per car. Could it not be an option pack?

My Sister is very non-technical and recently traded her 2007 Micra for a new Juke MHEV. She hates it. It does most things for her but she is never certain if it is done and so has to try and look for the widget that does it. Over complex and so difficult to instruct it becomes distracting. She has not sold the Micra yet!

Same as my wife's Audi, she hates it.
