Fabulous day on Dartmoor with lunch at The Old Inn Widecombe, tethered on the green were a couple of Horses and the two lovely ladies seated on the ground with their Vizslas resting. They had ridden from Chagford 10 mls as the crow flies. Doesn't get more Brtish than this. We must have seen about 120 or so ponies many with foals so here is a pic or two. The place was alive with visiting Registration plates and the most distant being a Portugal plate. We are so lucky to live here with this treasure on our doorstep.

A very pleasant day. Rose at 6:45. Poo picked. Groomed and rode my horse - alongside Mrs F & her horse. Then set off to MOGFEST. As we were unable to set off until 10am, we opted for A50, A38, M6 toll & M54. Arrived Weston Park around 11:15. It then took us over an hour to find loos and coffee - largely because we kept bumping into people we hadn’t seen for a while.

Saw DaveW at a distance. Tucked into our picnic before just making it to the house in time for our timed tickets. After the house, I was keen to look at the concours cars - especially Dave Sapp’s series one “William” which I last saw at MOG 2011 in Newmarket.

Another wander around and a quick look at the auto jumble followed. Krazy Horse, Williams, Oakmere & Central Morgan had displays. Krazy Horse had a super stock of spares for sale. Mrs F remains adamant that we are not buying a new Morgan. Had a chat with the lads from Oakmere - their views on MMC strategy were interesting.

Eventually found the gymkhana around 1/2 a mile from the centre of activities. Then staggered back to the car and headed home. Our route home was A5, M6 toll, A38, A50. Not the most scenic route but it got us home in time to feed the horses.

All told, a grand day out - especially catching up with people we don’t see very often.

All those I saw today - lovely to see you.

All those I missed- hope you had a good day.

Yorkshire centre - loved the tribute T shirts.

Drove up to Llandudno from Rushden for a cheeky overnigher, then over to Holyhead for the Ferry to Dubln. Rained. Met a nice bird at the A55 services,

Had a few days in Dublin, mainly drinking excessive amounts of Guiness interspersed with Historical stuff, and had a damp day trip out to Tara and Newgrange/Knowth.

Ferry and run back Friday for another overnighter in Chester, then back to Rushen last night. Car ran well until we got back to UK - got a fuel starvation issue. Know what the problem is, so will fix this week.

Great day out at RAF Marham families day yesterday. Early start with Satnav taking us an obscure route where I met Hawki having similarly been misled. The delays due to security were soon forgiven when we eventually reached the display area.

Six cars per club meant we had to spread booking for ten Mogs between two. USAFE tanker in the background offered viewing within.

McLaren's a plenty.

Great to be able to walk up to display aircraft. Both these put on a great display particularly the Pitt's.

Thunderbolt and P51 Mustang made a great display duo.

Business end of Mustang.

And then we had the F35 display - something else, culminating in showing off all angles as it slowly turned stationary at 100 feet.

Even the long wait to leave didn't sour this great day. Many thanks to Chris (The Morganeer) for organising our contingent.

Looks a fantastic day for it Richard.
The security will be as tight as a nut with the new Lightnings being stationed there I imagine.

The cute explosive sniffing spaniel found the door of Morton open. One sniff of the leather was enough though and he was excitedly on to the next car. Loves his job said his handler.
