Well you learn something new everyday. pity I didn't know that 30 odd years ago, it would have been useful. I'll bear that in mind if I get a X flow car again. I talked to quite a few of the long standing dealers at the time and no-one suggested that simple solution.

That doesn't surprise me! Both my Morgan and MG came with big files full of invoices showing evidence of clueless dealers ripping them off for £100's at a time.......

Yes it's a simple solution. I had it done to my 4/4 as that was a fumy one. I had it done to an mg midget as well. Completely solved the issue.
