Hi Caroline, my car is a late 2006 car so should be the same as yours.

Whilst there is a "master fuse" near the battery the additional fuse box Richard is referring to is on the driver's side bulkhead. Lift drivers side bonnet, look down and left and see it near to large heater box.

Regarding rail, nothing should be broken. Don't try releasing the locked pin by pulling the handle, simply push the opened side into locked position and you will be ready to go again. Hoods can be a pain. There is a technique, can I suggest you Google "how to erect a Morgan hood".

Hope it goes ok, let us know.

Regards

Sorry John....just seen your post.
Yes, a transition year and with several parts books, too.
My car has the ECU in the passenger footwell, relays under the dash and the secondary fuse box on the drivers side bulkhead.
Doesn't make it easy does it!

Hi Both

I have opened the bonnet. There are 8 fuses, looking left to right 3 x yellow 20, 1 x green, 1 x arrange 40, 2 x green, 1 x yellow

The free yellow are different so can't see if they are blown.
Could you advise which is likely to be the culprit?
Many thanks, Caroline

Thank you all for your amazing support.
The 20 amp fuss had definitely blown, it looked burnt !
I will tackle the roof when I have company to assist.
What a fantastic site.
Thanks to all, Caroline

Well done.
Just take care. Fuses don't blow for no reason. It could be just old age but more likely is a fault somewhere drawing a bigger load. As Richard suggest don't run everything & I would suggest getting an electrician to test the various circuits to be safe.

Thank you John.
I will, just daytime driving to an electrician I think!
I have spoken with someone who suggested testing and possibly checking for a relay on the heater fan.

Thanks again from the very grateful newbie in car maintenance, Caroline

Caroline,

From your post I have assumed your fuses are as mine and not John’s piccie.
This being the case then the relays will be behind the dash left of the steering column and a bit awkward to get to.

Dash removal is best and not too difficult but your electrician might like to know about it if unfamiliar with Morgan’s, so here’s a link….

If wired correctly the first two from left are fan low and fan high.

Best of luck
