What is the future of the MS3? That is the question coffee
My Morgan dealer admits to selling only a very small number of units per year gloomy
It even seems that Morgan Company thought it would sell thousands, but that since the launch of the model, production has been very VERY significantly reduced gloomy
Moreover, it seems that Morgan has committed to buying a huge quantity of Ford Dragon engines (the MS3 engine), but it will be impossible to sell... sos

I reckon if they did a small redesign and offered it with weather equipment it would make a great entry-level offering, especially if they could keep it around the £50k mark.

The OP is a very good and timely question, With the company pulling the plug on the Plus Six and v slow sales after the initial flurry -not forgetting the Top Gear incident they will be wondering whether its worth pushing on with such a niche product . Makes you wonder how a very light trad shape with the Dragon motor (with fan on) would sell without all the electronic unnecessary stuff, to the older Morgan buyer -who lets face it most are .....

What the MS3 lacks, and the 3W abounds in, is that simple "je ne sais quoi" known as "soul".
The three wheeler is irresistible to everyone who beholds it, from the very young, to octogenarians and even more.
Just like the Ferrari Dino, which you could not give away thirty years ago, and now is out of reach of the majority, the Three-Wheeler will, in due time, regain the same status on the market: Not for sale at any reasonable price.

My dealer Morgan thinks the MS3 will appreciate in value once production stops, maybe that could happen quickly... innocent

I would suspect that the market for any of the 3 wheelers is quite finite, hence the lack of sales, that's not going to change for the foreseeable future whilst it may have a favourite spot in the hearts of its followers, I don't see people queueing up to buy it and hence the forecast rising value. It is not alone in the market place there are other 3 wheelers.

If the M3W is anything to go by the factory hasn't been that supportive with spares etc no sooner production ceased. I always question a dealers advice especially if he has stock of the item in question that he wants to shift.

For what it is I think the Super 3 is too expensive. Nearest comparable car I would say is a Caterham and they start at several thousands of pound less for an arguably a much better product. OK Caterhams have four wheels but nothings perfect 😁. My (less than perfect) M3W is a different thing to a Caterham and not really in the same market, the Super 3 is.
