The Dell Boy sheep skin rug is a bid odd Bit odd -- it's bonkers ! Go for a walk in the woods at this time of year and when you get back to the car, the LAST thing you need to put your muddy boots on is sheepskin rug. Rubber mats is the way to go. And as for the marketing blurb, MMC just don't learn -- try deciphering what "A curated selection of exclusive options showcases Morgan's unique bespoke ability" means.

"A satin warm silver paint finish is applied to the wheels, stone guard and dashboard, colour selected due to connotations of champagne and victory but softened to ensure neutrality when complementing any exterior paintwork". Utter bo##ocks!

I think the Plus Six is a wild animal and I congratulate MMC for providing such a raw experience, but I recall at launch time Henry was manning the MMC stand at FOS and took one look under the bonnet and thought no.
I am use to servicing and understanding the oily bits under there on my Morgan's so this was a non starter for me but I'm glad you lads enjoy the rawness of them and hope that MMC does the right thing in keeping their customer support into the future..

Having gone through the press kit, pics and spec, I am fan of what they have done. Normally when an OEM does a runout, the planned units are part of the planned production numbers for the year and not a hope to gain extra sales. So for those looking to commission a Plus Six, this all looks quite attractive.
The extra details really set it apart.

Decoding the hype...........
We've got a load of bits left over for a car that was never really popular due to it's outrageous price and poor reliability what shall we do......
Let's give it a silly name, load it with more tat, make a fancy advert, make out that it's exclusive and charge a fortune for it..... Sit back and wait for 30 suckers........!
Good luck MMC. Let's hope the replacement is more popular.

Working in this field I can say with confidence that it doesn't normally happen like that Julian. Spec up a normal Plus Six and it comes quite a lot more expensive than this LE. MMC isn't the first nor the last to do this. Update: A normal Plus Six with all the content of the Pinnacle comes out to just over £107,000 and that doesn't account for the bespoke content. They did this with the 4/4 80th Anniversary which had more tat, made it exclusive to just 80 and yet again, priced attractively. I was one of the suckers who bought it sight unseen Porsche - released a Style Edition based on their entry powertrain to start the send off the 718 will soon have, and I'm certain another LE is around the corner, and it comes out cheaper than a normal base 718 with the same options. Bentley - launched the Edition 8 as a send off to the last of the V8 and leading up to the newly released GT/GTC/Flying Spur. Much like the Plus Six, it looked and drove like a non-Edition 8 but had unique interior quilting, added content and an attractive price. Love it or hate it, it's marketing and keeps the factory running and skilled people employed. Considering the market, I for one am happy to see this.

As readers of TM may guess we love our Plus Six, I defend it for what it is ( raw), but I also try to point out its positives and correct its issues ( mostly build and QC on ours ) .. However, the most bonkers thing I have seen with this last limited addition is the thick sheepskin floor carpet they are rabbiting on about.. Has no one in Morgan marketing and sales ever lived in the countryside?.. Have they ever seen what a sheep looks like after its lived in a muddy field... Christ almighty that carpet will look terrible if the car is ever used in a climate other than a sandless desert. As for the experience of rubbing your feet through the carpets thickness ( mentioned in video ) try that on a sheep thats just come out of a wet field, its normally covered in "cling ons" which is what the carpet will look like after any major use. We have the boxweave ( semi commercial ) carpet in our Plus Six and I still have to use a rubber floor mat to protect its finish.. How on earth can you safely use a protective floor mat on a thick rug fitted inside a car and still operate the foot controls... I do think the MMC designers have lost their marbles with this...
Sorry rant over...

Perhaps they should consider an entry point car, let us say a FourFour Suggested motor and drive train: 2.0L SKYACTIV-G 184 184 (135) / 7,000 (ps (Kw)/rpm) | Petrol Drive Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) Transmission 6-speed Manual It would be a nice, fun to drive, machine with enough, but no too much, get up an go. It would be exactly at the opposite end of the spectrum by comparison to the, IMHO, overpriced and overpowered PlusSix. I could be tempted by such a machine. PS. A 6 speed auto box is also available.
