Hi All, I’m planning a Scotland road trip in June 2025 and will be using 3 ferries, Corran to Ardgour, Lochaline to Fishnish and Craignure to Oban. I’m worried about ground clearance on my 2017 plus 4 when boarding and exiting the ferries. There will be 2 of us in the car along with a suitcase on the rack.

Has anyone used these ferries in their Morgan and if so, were there any issues?

Many thanks.

No problem on the Corran ferry. Can't comment on the others.

Maybe ask passenger to get out if clearance looks marginal - every mm helps.

Depends open the tide level on Corran my +4 tailpipe used to ground at low water, now have a side exit., agreed, might be wise to politely ask your passenger to walk off ?

Travelled on the Oban to Mull ferry without clearance problems. The biggest problem is waiting for a weather window then finding the ferries are fully booked.

When I last went to Mull no booking required on the Corran Ferry or the Lochaline/ Fishnish. Bit longer route.
My long suffering Mrs and I slept in the Morgan on the Lochaline Ferry ramp after the last ferry broke down, trying to sleep to the persistent repeating strains of Sultans of swing coming from the Fishermans club, I used to love that song.

My wife and I got on the Arran ferry as it was leaving a couple of years ago on a bit of a whlm nothing planned. We found a place to stay and whizzed around the Island next day taking in the sights and jumpers, the following day as we waited to get on the ferry we were told it was full and had we booked. We were stuck on the Island for another two days before we got off .Totally our fault because there was plenty of room when we got on we thought it would be the same getting off. After four days on Arran we felt like locals. Might save up next time and buy a jumper. Em
