Back in 2011, a 4/4 was made with the National Trust logo embroidered onto the headrests (I think that was the only difference from standard) and the car given by MMC to the Trust for a raffle prize to raise money for Croome Castle, here's the link https://www.telegraph.co.uk/motorin...s-car-in-raffle-organised-by-a-peer.html The winners gave it to BHM to sell and Sarah kindly lent it to me to use at Chartwell as Santa's transport at Christmas that year! I have several photos if they might be of interest, if you wouldn't mind sending me a pm, I can email them to you, I'm afraid I can't get my head around putting photos up on TM.

Once they embraced the idea of 'special editions' they factory really went for it didn't they..........!!!!😆 There seemed to be a period where there was a new marketing opportunity every month......
When I was selling cars in the 80's it was new plastic wheel trims and some stripes, think of a suitably exotic and exclusive name for it, and get it in the local paper for the weekend.....! 😁

Thanks everybody for the input so far. I'll be in touch when the issue of photos needs to be figured out. They have to be high resolution and without clutter or people in shot. The Limited Edition marketing is really a huge distraction to the core story, which in itself is hard enough to work through. And you can actually spend more time on the limited editions than the mainstream Trads, even though from a buyers perspective today, the LEs are so small in number as to be inconsequential, unless you really want one! The 'one offs' like the National Trust car, the two 4/4 Speedsters, the white Roadster with bat vinyls, the recent rebodied exotic Plus 4, and obviously others, are interesting but distracting.

Dave, I think with modern AI photo software you can eliminate all people in an otherwise good shot and noone would notice this kind of change.

There was also a Harrods 4/4 one off. Which might be interesting as weren't Harrods the first ever Morgan dealer?

A Plus 4 was kitted-out for West Midlands Police and appeared at various shows (presumably for P.R.) It was returned to "civilian" spec and was offered for sale by MMC in 2021, I test-drove in on a factory vist and it was a rattle trap (sorry...). Certainly pings a distant memory that Harrods were involved in the very early days of the 'Runabout', I think they kept stock in the cellars Jake Alderson is your man for this, I will ask him if he comes to our noggin next week

First of all, NO RUSH
I've started to collate my own images, which is highlighting some gaps, even though I have a vast library of Morgan pics.
So between now an Christmas I would welcome any high res images from the list below. These must not be internet grabs, they must be your own photos, and will be credited. Any images should have a brief description, and the name of the photographer. Outside images are best. Standards are set high by the publisher, so avoid background clutter, other cars (where possible), and no people. With the images you must grant permission to use, so that copyright is covered. I may need a signed doc for that but for now, a note on e-mail will suffice. With Book 1 at Crowood they were relaxed about this as long as I had the e mail evidence.
Jpegs, over 500kb. Max quality setting. Landscape minimum 1,500 pixels wide, preferably 2,000.
So for each of 4/4.....Plus 4.......Roadster.(all marks) .......Plus 8...............Era 1997 to 2020 Limited edition shots a bonus. External front/side/rear. Underbonnet, dasboard and interiior.
For Chapter 1 which will be "Genesis", I need to represent the evolution from that first F type up to 1997. It's a challenge and I need some images of the landmark trads, including an early Plus 8, the interim cowl Plus 4, and so on.This chapter won't be superdetailed because it's all been done to death, and so the images will carry the story more than the narrative.
My e-mail is in Miscellany. I won't post it "here" but send me a PM, and I'll pass it on. I'm away next week, so NO RUSH!!!
Thanks in advance to those already aboard with this.
