Blimy Pauly, What a cracking car and the TR3 engine to boot!

Now, why don't you document and photograph absolutely everything in great detail as you go, I think the Mog world is ready for a book like that and it will probably fund the rebuild when published and you'll have a flat rad gem to enjoy although I think the doing and feeling of achievement at the end will wear the crown on a personal level.

Thanks, everyone. I have a few chores around the house before I can even start to look at it. There will be some challenges. My goal is to restore the engine compartment and get everything mechanical working as it should. That may include front and rear suspension rebuild, but I won't know until i can really look at it. I want to get it on the road, then work on the body. While I will try to do right by the car, which we have named Pug, I'm not looking to create a concourse winner.

Great purchase for a very reasonable price. Lots of options open for you if you have the time Paul given all the spares. Very best of luck as the rebuild progresses and look forward to reports and pictures in the future so we can share the experience vicarilously.

Did the "Brands Hatch Triangle", a bit dodgy with the very low winter sun, filled up with E5 in preparation for tomorrow's postponed Brooklands New's Day meet. It's going to be thermals on in the morning and just about any other item of clothing I can find, it's -0.5C outside atm and I can't imagine it'll be much warmer at 8.30am tomorrow - I'll let you know!

Brooklands was excellent, very busy indeed, well worth braving the freezing temperatures and getting togged up like Nanook of the North. All the Mogs I saw were topless - great stuff!
