Julie Andrews Turning 79

To commemorate her birthday , actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP. One of the musical numbers she performed was 'My Favorite Things' from the legendary movie 'Sound Of Music'. Here are the lyrics she used:
(Sing It!) - If you sing it, its especially hysterical!!! )
Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
When the pipes leak, When the bones creak,
When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel so bad.
Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.
When the joints ache, When the hips break,
When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel so bad.

You either know about the cow fart preventative measures or not but it’s a big issue with the farming community…a bit like running a milk float apart from the idiots adding nasties to their feed to limit gas output Arla being one of the main users of the dairy products.

Richard - an Australian company are producing an additive for dairy cow feed from seaweed which in small quantities (circa 6%) reduces methane emissions by up to 40% a totally natural additive and really positive for emissions reduction without any nasty chemicals!
Cheers!

Robbie, thanks that's good to read and the right direction ahead.

The Arla etc additive can cause cancer in sufficient strengths so who's so say this is not building up in the cows body (as Ragwort does) and being passed on to the consumer these chemical compounds are not the way ahead.

Great to see its Australia that is coming up with a solution, following on from the research that uncloaked the 1970's myth that kangaroos don't fart due to a special micro-bacteria in their guts. which was seen as the possible answer for other ruminating animals such as cows. Unfortunately research proved kangaroos do fart methane emissions similar in size to that of a horse.

We just need to capture all this methane for industrial and domestic use. Harnessing up cows to a methane collector is one thing but kangaroos would be a bit more difficult.
Personally I could make a huge contribution laugh oops

Ha ha that made me laugh.

My odd mind imagined the following.

Cow has methane trap tool attached to bottom.
Cow starts process of methane generation and parp noises occur
Given methane is lighter than air the bag starts to fill.
Cow achieves lighter than air weight and starts to ascend.
Fear causes cow to create more gas emissions and ascend further.
As it cools cow descends and lands on something.
Insurance claims roll in

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Doesn't the cow jump over the moon in the nursery rhyme? Maybe it wasn't a tale but a prediction....:)
