Lovely weather of late, went to fire up the Mog (Oops..!) a few days back, and it failed to start, no supply at the fuel pump, abort.

Decided to get involved in a bit of under-dash limbo dancing as the immobiliser unit is under there, it cuts the supply to the starter solenoid, the supply to the ignition coil and of course the fuel pump, once the fuel pump wires were identified it was just a case of by passing the failed immobiliser circuit. The Mog is still protected via both ign and starter solenoid being immobilised, until the immobiliser "key" is made use of..Success.

Fired it up today and headed for the hills...

Seems for some strange reason I may be able to access the TM image library, that being the case a pic from today might just be attached to this post... Fingers crossed.

If it works, now, when it did not a few months back....don`t ask me why.... I have no idea..!

Yesterday, the North Holland Classic with 50 Morgans, we drove our PlusFour in the morning and 4/4 in the afternoon. And our sons vice versa! Today, sunny but only 13 degrees, a real Spring Blossom Picture in Sittard, where I live! love

Glorious day so after seeing my parents at their retirement apartment this morning I felt the need to enjoy the freedom and good health I am fortunate enough still to have. A very round about trip taking in Moreton in the Marsh, Chipping Norton, Burford, Bibury, Barnsley and lots of other wonderful places in and around the Cotswolds. Not sure how I managed to clock up 130 miles but doesn’t driving a Morgan make life feel better.

Today I waved the car off with its new owners, who are delighted with it. As they should be, given the work Tim Ayres has done on the car! Slightly mixed feelings on my part, but onwards and upwards I guess. I have the satisfaction that I improved the car in the 2 years I owned it, did around 2000 miles a year in it, and mostly enjoyed it. As usual there are too many cars and not enough time...

Just back from a 700 mile round trip (from Scottish Borders) to Mark Middleton motor Services in Upton - took the chance to do the Factory Tour - excellent and saw the last CX Plus Six and the first Supersport in PDI area

Mark is excellent - great detail attention on servicing plus fitting Wolf Performance adjustables and Panhard rod on the rear - car running beautifully on the way home

A nice run out to Lurgashall (twinned with Midsomer) for lunch at the Noah's Ark pub.

Almost certainly our last run in the car before driving it down to Tim Ayres. I shall miss the burble of the Kent engine and its twin Dell'Ortos, but as somebody said (a couple of posts back) ... onwards and upwards.

Last Sunday together with the PlusFour!

I just drove my Ivory 4/4 4-seater back from Limburg to the "storage" at our garage in Koog a/d Zaan. We enjoyed the 4/4 the past week, had a wonderful drive last Sunday. together with our PlusFour and two sons, so next months it will be mainly the PlusFour, also for our trips abroad!

Visited the Morgan factory yesterday, covered a 350 mile round trip mostly motorways, with some enjoyable country lanes over the 2 days. Car performed very well, especially in the series of major holdups on the M6 heading back up to the North West today, and amazingly economical doing over 45 mpg, which considering the lengthy holdups and traffic congestion experienced is quite impressive , The April sunshine was great, a little cool at motorway speeds with the hood down, a pleasing change from the winter gloom.

It had been 8 years since my last factory tour and lots had changed, there certainly seems to be far more outsourcing of components and more just assembly, I was expecting the wood fabrication area to have shrunk post the trad passing, but it appeared to be a shadow of its former self. The 3 wheeler assembly area was now part of the trim shop, which may be indicative that sales may not be doing too well, compared with my last visit. .Quite a few of the cars in different stages of assembly were destined for the US, with some very traditional paint and trim schemes, which where more reflective of earlier models and earlier times, for some it was a very 70's look.,

I was quite impressed with the Supersport, up close and in the flesh, it is a very impressive car in the shade of blue. The boot is full when the side screens are in there. Sue's 5 foot nothing couldn't see much over the bonnet, I'm not sure whether they have seat height adjustment, but if not I might struggle to justify getting one if Sue cant adjust the seat enough to be comfortable to drive it, But she did prefer it over the Plus Four.
