Back in the 70's I had a mark 4 Cortina estate, I left it parked outside the house as I was going drinking. When I got home something had hit it, there was a 2" gap from back to front rear wing both doors and front wing it looked like it had been attacked by a giant tin opener. Car written off.

I knew a dealer in the 70's who bought a MkIV Cortina Estate from the auction. It was barely over a year old, with 120,000 miles on the clock. He sold it to his best mate as a 20,000 miler. The drivers seat was like a loose hammock.

I knew I'd seen that Roadster in the flesh, as it got picked to do a concours parade

Blenheim Salon Prive 2022

IIRC the owners son came in the polished new MTW alongside - and no, on that day neither had PPF applied

No computers, no aerodynamics and wind tunnels, bloke (maybe woman?) with a good pencil. Yet they had so much more style and presence.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

And most likely the panels would have all been hand crafted.

^ Nice, although some are a bit over restored & the values mean they don't get used much

But for me, a Gullwing MUST be silver

I am interested in the terminology we might use to describe Classics, and there seem to be quite a few, Over Restored, being one such, I have used it myself... (-: Though in the case of some vehicles it seems they can either be preserved from new as Original or restored to become the equivalent of automotive jewellery....? I have no problem with either as enjoying one`s Classic machine does not necessarily equate to deriving pleasure from it in the same way others might, or even driving it ever...?

Agree on preferential colour choice for any 300SL CooperMan....(-:
