Yep, I'm with you there John! Can't really see an advantage over a V6 roadster. Yep, the V8 has a special sound but this one didn't sound as nice as the Rover option I assume was originally fitted! As an engineering project it has been beautifully executed and the whole car is stunning but at 18ish miles to the gallon I don't get it! Can't see any advantage other than saying we did it! Mind you the car must be or has a 2006 dash and I think that is the nicest dash Morgan ever fitted, looks great and the instrument layout is perfect!

I have a non-cat sports exhaust +8 and I think that the +8+ sounds better than mine, but perhaps not as good as my non-cat TVR Griffith. I would be reasonably confident that dash is one of Machiel Kaufelt's creations. The world is a sadder place without the likes of Bill Fink

The world is a sadder place without the likes of Bill Fink Bill's sounds wonderfully raw, mine has cats and the Librands Sport and sounds good but not as good as the Vette engined car.. Looks like THE dash kings work alright.

meanwhile I found out that my former Roadster is on the road again, with a new engine. Someone managed to find another new motor (V6 3 Ltr.) and I was told he drives like new again.... Some individuals are smarter than specialized garages. The owner is now on holidays but will be back in 2 months. Than I will see him as well.

My 2004 Roadster now sounds great after simple mods. These are: K&N filter, Williams re-map and Librands sports exhausts. There's a pleasing burble on over run and a not intrusive roar when the throttle's open. However, as I've said elsewhere, I can no longer hear the +8s trying to keep up.
