Well it is justice, always looked like you parked it up outside a free shots nightclub to me - as they felt too ill to stay on they all threw up all over it surrender

Ian, great price for a lovely car - quick wrap and Bob's your Aunty wink

I would expect to pay in excess of £5,000 for a thorough wings off respray by a professional outfit, a lot of labour and know how involved but if someone has spraying skills a lovely cheap car.

Translated from Danish:

“Once I had a dull silver-grey Rolls Royce. I don't have that anymore."

This is how Saxo bank director Lars Seier Christensen writes on his Facebook wall on Saturday. And judged from the pictures of Lars Seier's unrecognisable Rolls Royce, it's hard not to agree with him.

It is the Danish artist Kristian von Hornsleth who has transformed the rich man's silver-grey Rolls Royce Phantom into a rolling painting.

These days the car is on display at the Ostrale Art Show in Dresden, but when the exhibition is complete, it will be driven back in Lars Seier's garage a little outside Zurich in Switzerland, where the billionaire has lived since 2010. Lars Seier does not rule out that he can use the car.

“It’s fully registered, so I’m counting on it to run on festive occasions,” Lars Seier writes in a text message to bittaffbils.dk

On the side of the car it says UHURU, which means “freedom” in Swahili.

In the past, Hornslet has also decorated Ducati motorcycles and a Lamborghini."

No mention of the Morgan in spite of it being linked directly to the manufacturer.

Interestingly, the Morgan has 1 of 10 written on the door, which I hadn't noticed previously.

This would lead you to believe that someone thought they would be popular enough to sell more than one.

He went on to do a similar 'run' idea with a Ducati bike - http://www.old.hornsleth.com/Hornsleth/Home/PROJECTS/DUCATI-Project - it doesn't explain on his site whether it was a factory sponsored project or not. However, another Danish article states:

"Kill me fast" the artist calls his series on a total of nine Ducati motorcycles.

The artwork, Ducati 1098 vintage 2008 is painted with auto varnish on the spray can and then applied 15 times ready varnish.

The "Kill me fast" project was originally designed by gallery Poulsen in collaboration with the Ducati importer in Denmark.

The project consisted originally of 10 pieces of brand new Ducati motorcycle model 1098.

The first one was to be attended to Galleri Poulsen. The next eight were to be sold to art collectors worldwide and No. 10 was to be awarded to Von Hornslet.

The project was completed after No. 9, which makes the artwork unique."

That's a cheap Morgan ... tbh I'd just leave it as it is and use it, a little footnote in Morgan history ... though a TBM rattle-can satin black squoosh-over and use it to death with no pressure would give great fun per pound for decades! 🙂

Interest footnote on the auction site... it's been converted to lhd.
And:
Please note that this vehicle is from outside the UK. Our customs agents, CARS UK, will manage all post sale customs administration. A fee of £350+VAT will be charged on the buyer's invoice to administer both import or export customs movements. If the buyer also chooses to ship with CARS UK, this will be quoted separately. If this vehicle is to stay in the UK, it will be subject to Import VAT at the standard rate of 20% and Import Duty at 10%+VAT on the hammer price. This vehicle will not be available for immediate collection after the sale and will only be released on completion of customs clearance. If you have any questions regarding customs clearance, please contact the Bonhams Motorcar Department.

Not so sure it would end up all that cheap.....

I actually like that Morgan. I know that sounds weird, so maybe I'm weird. I liked the bat Roadster as well.
