Well, for Tom Perkins, the american venture capitalist who built it I'm sure it was just a drop in the ocean (sorry!). There's some very clever technology with the rig of Maltese Falcon, but I find her a pretty ugly boat - in particular the coms mast up front. Couldn't that lot have gone somewhere up the mast ? The legendary naval architect Nat Herreshoff said that half of the value of a boat is to look beautiful at a dock or on a mooring - what's called the row-away factor (when you row away, you can't resist sneaking a peek). I totally agree with him and would always be prepared to trade some space or practicality for elegant lines. I'm sure that this is something that Morgan enthusiasts can relate to.

Is the rear fog light now standard equipment, or is that a bespoke extra? It seems like every dash has a toggle switch available for it, and I see it in almost every recent picture that is posted (where you can see the back), but I don't notice it on any of the older/journalist cars

Most of us don't have one yet, so we have to live vicariously through others, asking dumb questions and contemplating the outfitting of our own when that time comes.
Hell, I've even considered early on what it would be like to have a horn on the dash, and if I can upgrade it to a Stebel Nautilus horn to make an impression around blind corners on mountain roads where honking is the "in-thing" to do.

As I have said before, I am borderline obsessed with the M3W and I just come up with random questions, and you guys are an ocean of knowledge in which I cast my inquires! I thought of this while shoveling my walk, and whilst my hands we thawing I re-surfed the recent photos and once I could type I pondered away.

Honking on blind corners on mountain roads is not, unfortunately, the "in-thing" but a courtesy that is being forgotten in these days of hermitically sealed cars. On the mountain roads around here I always honk and I wind the window down, a little even in winter, so that I can hear. It annoys the h!"% out of me when others don't do it.

It was tongue-in-cheek. There's certainly a good reason for it, however it is frowned upon around here.
