Another nice day in Kent exploring the lanes and dodging potholes.

Nice 'n' warm at Hole Park! somestick
The tea rooms used to be a pub. It was a "stopping off" point during one of our management course's team building exercises around the woods.
Hope you didn't hit too many potholes. There were plenty on our trip today along the back roads - and I found most of them.

Hole Park is very nice. A member of historic houses. £95 a year for a couple and well worth it as lots of interesting places and not as crowded as the national trust one and often a lot nicer to..

+1 for HHA … are real houses with real people and no plastic food on the dining table to disneyfy the experience! Also includes many of the grandest private houses inc Chatsworth, Blenheim etc

Another vote for HHA.

And their “Invitation to View” events take you in to the smaller properties not normally open to the public. It was wonderful being shown round Long Clawson Manor by the owner who described the restoration process.

Also gets you in to Sandringham and Holkham.

You need to check what HHA covers within each venue. Some (Blenheim for one) it only allows entry to the grounds - the house is extra.
