I was reading another thread in which double-sided tape was mentioned just when the doorbell rang and my delivery of Dual-Lock tape arrived. It struck me that some may not be aware of this wonder stuff so I thought I'd mention it. I've used it for years for all sorts of things.

It's like a sort of super-strong sturdy version of Velcro. Instead of a hook side and a felt side however, both sides are the same and consist of a surface of plastic mushroom filaments that lock when pressed together. You can separate it again, but not easily, you need to slide something like a knife blade between them.

As a result it's great for holding things onto other things that you want to stay together but with the option of removing them later. Guitarists use it for holding their pedals firmly to pedal boards for example. Worth remembering maybe?

Good find. The brochure is handy for selecting the best version by application too. Worth investigating.
