The core gave out this morning, spraying coolant across the interior. I bypassed and removed the original Smiths Heater R200. I'm not finding many replacement options out there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I recently switched from positive ground to negative ground. I am curious if this might have inadvertently reversed the fan airflow direction?

Fairly sure it won't make any difference to fan direction Edwin as it's a series field motor.

Clayton offer new cores for Smith's round fug stirrers. Might be cheaper than Holden's as they are source.

Just realised that Holden's either own or have exclusive sales rights to Clayton heaters.

You can get a replacement easily enough, keeps it vintage. My 59 has one but disconnected, that's the other option, just wear a thicker jumper
