Great to see a new face winning the title and old team doing a Phoenix inspired by Zak Brown. ( Brian will be smiling thumbs )

Alonso and Hamilton need to step out of the way for the young bloods now imho.

Agree wholeheartedly Richard and some of those young bloods are showing plenty of promise.

As someone who last saw an F1 race all the way through on a grassy bank at Brands Hatch when they didn't have wings (I've never owned a TV and my motorsport interests have lain elsewhere) ...... I went to my local (ish) petrolhead cafe on a whim to watch it on their big-screen last weekend in the company of a motley crowd of car-nuts and Mrs Image (who has far more interest in F1 than I have) ... entertaining enough in that setting, though I doubt it will become a habit.

Good to see Norris win and the change of fortune for Maclaren after their time in the disatrous doldrums a few years back ... I do disagree regarding Alonso ... old dog running 6th in a car that isn't amongst the classier end of the grid was a perfectly credible performance .... if the young-guns deserve his seat then they have a chance to prove that every race weekend ... they certainly didn't this one ... Hamilton seems to have lost the joy of racing .... maybe he should pivot towards the activism and fashion world that interests him .... Alonso, however, is still a racing driver to the core.

As much as I'm pleased for Lando, it was another very disappointing for us Ferrari fans, Lewis just couldn't get it together so perhaps it's time to retire and let a young gun like Oliver Bearman have the seat, on the other hand Charles did his very best but I can't help thinking his talent is wasted driving the fast donkeys, maybe they will replicate their success in the World Sports Car Championship next season.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

I agree re the drive Alonso achieves every week. Punching above the cars weight, I hope he stays around.

Lovely to see McLaren doing so well, both drivers deserve the acclaim they have had this year. I would have been happy with either of them taking it. Piastri has been a solid team partner this year and I hope he gets to run free next year. Heavens knows where the car changes will put things!

Given how they started the year AMG developed the car very well and George earnt his salary.

I was worried when Hamilton went to Ferrari. So many have gone there and found a blunt tool in the last years sadly. Leclerc has done a good job with a difficult situation so congratulations to him for getting them where they are. The good news is that Lewis has proven to be a massively resilient character through his time so maybe they will find a way. Not my favourite but you have to respect his skills and application.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Wanting Norris and Maclaren to get the result they needed, I had a nervy few minute towards the end when it looked like Leclerc might hunt Norris down .... tyre age (presumably) kicked in and Norris gained a fraction and Leclec lost a fraction and took the pressure off ... the Ferrari looked decent, if not spectacular ... hopefully they'll have a Maclaren-esque return to form.

Having watched many champions achieve their dream over the years, yesterdays race strategy was edgy at times and I have to admit I leapt for joy when Lando won the title after all the difficulties of the season

Maybe I was a tad harsh on Alonso, he could have a few race wins in him. Like Max he is arrogant and I'm not a fan of that or either of them.

tbh Lewis really doesn’t need another as he is the goat and has more important work to do off track for the under privileged.
