Thank you Heinz any excuse for a drive and meet new people Heinz winky

This small E hybrid will suit my need perfectly not being too large for our single track roads which form most of our road network down here in South Devon.

How times change, Sue was having her rear bumper repaired on her Mercedes C AMG Coupe the other day ( someone hit it whilst parked and just scarpered) and the painter was ex Mercedes main dealer so Mercedes. thru and thru and he was bitching about the amount of Renault parts now in a Mercedes, and that the quality wasn't there any more. As a result of this post I checked where Uk bound Mercedes C class are now built and it wasn't Germany they are primarily assembled at the East London plant in South Africa, which is the global hub for right-hand-drive C-Class production. How times change.

I remember the days when Mercedes Germany used to send RHD flat packs to be assembled in South Africa just for the African market and the very last RHD W124 saloons sold in the UK long after the German production shut down, came from South Africa with a very unusual specification compared to the normal UK spec.

To earn the ‘bigger bucks’ some Slovenians have worked in Austria and Germany, living there naturally and coming home holidays and some weekends. Over this summer we spoke to several who had been made redundant from the car making factories.
The EU and the UK need to stick to a strategy but one we can all see is sensible and not going to kill off what’s left of car manufacturing.
Sadly, son in law to be is getting a Jacoooooo delivered next week. I’m interested to see it in the flesh, learn how to spell it and see what toys it comes with.
Seasons best to all TMers, Morgan Mike
PS +8 Rich - Stoke Fleming is looking good to me - is it a Nuke free zone as we seem to be in Putins cross hairs in London !!?

Seems that there has been some sort of aluminium fire at the Ford F150 Dearborn factory, seemingly shutting down production, wonder if the issues might be further complicated by the tariffs placed on importing aluminium from Canada...?

One of the safest places in the world Mike - with fantastic opportunities for a great life in sublime Morgan outing countryside. Get yourself and Mrs down here for a taster holiday and sniff around.

Alistair moved into Dartmouth earlier this year from "Basingrad" and has taken to it like a duck to water and is part of the locals scene already, just like you he is blessed with an endearing light handedness and great sense of humour.

Wishing you and Mrs. Mike a great Christmas.

Don't forget the Nuc___r submarine decommissioning base just down the hill.
Safe as houses.

But it's okay as they took down the road signs so it does not exist anymore.

Hey we even had King Charles down here today.

Quack.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I think you might find Heinz, that Ford Europe goes the way of GM Europe and is ultimately absorbed into Renault. The French government wouldnt allow the opposite outcome, and Ford USA like GM dont see their limited EU car sales as a key part of their business.. They are fighting to keep the US business alive against Chinese competition.
