Nice trip out to Buckfast Abbey this afternoon for a little task and walked into a Latin Service (Solemn Vespers & Benediction) and grabbed this in the sunset after.

This made me worried though as my birth mother saw fit to bugger off when I was 18 months and never seen her since, good for us as what a crap granny she'd have been to our three. I feel sorry for her but not a view shared by my better half (she is very protective of me) - but not everyone comes ready equipped for life do they ?

Luckily Heathers Mum (RIP) overfilled both positions in our family. We were very lucky.

Wonderful picture. You remind me that we have to find good fortune wherever we can. And to cherish the people who stay with us.

I have been so very lucky to have two parents who helped and supported me. And they are still around - just - at 94 & 95.
Now it is my turn to help and support them.

Thank you, cars filthy I'm afraid as I've added another 2k to Jeremy's 115k since July so she is use to all weathers, quick wash under and over tomorrow will reset her.

Yes it is so important to show what we feel for those closest to us now, not have it read out when all is lost at some future date.

So pleased to hear you still have your folks with you, as you say redressing the balance somehow has to be done.

Another tip Richard. A lot of web images have the .webp suffix which forums will not accept for direct display. If you change this suffix manually to .jpg though (as I have above on your behalf) it will usually (but not always) display as intended.

Never tried buckfast, did enjoy Happy Days though and Ritchie was Fonzy’s best pal.

Tried the new image host, here’s the recent goings on…

Buckfast is to me like fortified wine and it tastes ok. Think Sanatogen..

Love those Peterhead craft with their spanking colour scheme, any idea where they were built.
Clearly different types of vessel, as all we get in our Port are Crabbers what are these for specifically.

Crafty skiing what a good idea.

The Lightning does look forlorn but the smell of the hot Ferrari maybe tweaked a few grey cells for it.

The larger one isn’t brand new, only the relatively small one. Small one catches Haddock and Cod, the huge one is a pelagic boat, catches Herring, Mackerel and Whiting.

Thanks, big compared to our Dartmouth Crabbers and long liners.

Brixham, just round the corner has a few larger one's.

Bit of a nip in the air tis morning down by..the heated windscreen still works well after her 117,000miles as does everything else.

Heated windscreens are a huge help all winter round here, even just steamed up can take ages in a cold car without it, like a watched kettle, never will when you need it.
