FWIW, this is the message Tim sent out last year. It suggests that he's not unfamiliar with the marque.

Message to be circulated from Tim & Chrissy Ayres (Tim Ayres Ltd)

Tim and Chrissy are proud to announce New Elms Classic has new custodians.
Patrick and Holly Carney have bought 100% of the share capital of Tim
Ayres Ltd including the freehold of New Elms Garage.
Morganeer and MSCC member Patrick, is now in overall control, but Tim
will be around for another 12 months as Sales Consultant, assisted by
Chrissy when necessary, and of course Darren and Nathan on the
technical side.

It seems to me that a number of jobs have been saved and the Morgan community will continue to be served by a technical team that they trust. In my view, that is something to celebrate.

Targo Floria Cars has just gone under. They used to sell a few Morgan’s over the years. Interesting video on the pitfalls of SOR

Very helpful.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

What never ceases to amaze me, when people start to hear rumours of problems they send chasing emails etc.,, usually over many days and even weeks. They don't usually go straight to the vehicles location and check it out. My advice is no matter how water tight you think the SOR arrangement is, visit your car on a regular basis, it's not unknown for vehicles to remain for sale on websites long after they are gone.

'Trust' is doing some heavy lifting in regards to RTCC.

It's a hell of a ballsy move on the part of Mr and Mrs Carney........ especially given how the classic car market generally, and the Morgan market specifically, is at the moment.....!🤷🏻‍♂️

The very best of luck to them, however they've structured the businesses, I really hope the make a go of it. The 2 businesses, historically, have been important to the Morgan world.

It will be good to see some new blood in the 'legacy dealer' world, perhaps it'll signal the expansion on the 'main dealer' network......! It would certainly be good for MMC to take on more dealers................ but to be fair, the Carneys are probably better advised to have as little to do with MMC as possible.........🤷🏻‍♂️😆

According to Richard Thorne’s insolvency practioners, £550k is owed to 28 SOR creditors and £26k deposit is owed to 1 person for the ‘non supply’ of a car. Is this some sort of record for a Morgan dealer?
