I believe you get a discount if you order them alongside the sellers other item for sale: custom vinyl name decals that go across the top of the windscreen, proclaiming the name of the driver and that of his lady passenger!

I must admit to having a chuckle when I see drivers with their instagram handle stuck to their side windows, letting all know the link to their social media profile; however, then I ponder some of the questionable 'mods' we did to our cars in our youth and think, well, the circle just goes on!

The wipers are brand new, I discovered I had two brand new set, neither work.

They do have the severe bend in the wiper arm to create extra pressure.

The springs are obviously good.

Aerofoil may work at speed of course, not a bad idea. I have an old escort which I might nick it off
But it won’t help at low speed which sadly seems to be the norm on our congested roads.

Not had this issue on either of my 2 previous S1’s. All a bit odd

Is it worth buying a new arm and spring, just to check. I remember messing around for ages (as in weeks of trial and error) trying to get mine just right on the S3 and even then it was the factory who sorted it. Perhaps they are over/under bent but starting with a 'blank' canvas may help.

Had another thought, seem to remember a product that seemingly dispersed rain reducing the requirement to use the wipers to some degree, think it was called Rain X or similar, which might help out a tad.. Also if using just water in the washers perhaps try buying windscreen washer fluid which I suspect has a degreaser built in to assist in cutting down the oil that inevitably ends up on the screen. Also if that may not appeal, and oil/crud might be part of the issue, either vinegar or Fairy liquid might be worthwhile trying..?

Yes, I’ve also done this. Not great on a fairly upright screen. But it’s more an issues when there’s dirt that needs washing away

Last attempt.... Had a wander around and came across an aerofoil that fitted to the back of a wiper to add to the pressure upon the blade but it was in the US, so discarded that idea... Then found these with a broader backing to the blade which might just help a bit... ?

I was watching a couple of vids that involved footage from inside a couple of 250 GTO`s a day or so ago, and the wipers were fluttering a tad, which caused me to wonder just what it must have been like to drive these cars in races in the rain and more so the 24 hr races which both cars had a history so related... All that aside I do hope the wider wiper backs improve things at least a bit for you Viper..

Mr Luddite mentioned it earlier but I'm a fan of RainX, you hardly need the wipers on for light rain as the water just beads and skates off the 'screen as you drive, it also seems to lube the glass helping the wipers to sweep without jumping
