I’ve an idea I might have mentioned this before.

Drivers side, I Cannot get the wiper to clear. I knew the screen was distorted and thought that the reason but a HUGE expense I fitted a new screen. New wipers at least twice as I’d forgotten I’d already changed them BUT to no avail.

Anyone experiencing the same??

Have you tried bending the arm to alter the angle at which the blade contacts the window and/or the pressure at which the blade meets with the glass?

I seem to recall this was the issue on my S3 and that was how MMC resolved it; however, I’ll do a bit of digging and come back to you on it.

Try changing the sprung arm (stronger spring) in addition to wiper blades. Simon's suggestion can also increase effective spring force on blades but also distributes balance of this force to favour one end of blade or the other.

The springs often become weak leading to poor wiping.
If they are juddery then it can be a sign of the mechanism needing tightening.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Had a chat with Mr Aero today and my recollection is correct, as are Richard and Alistair's comments.

A mild 'adjustment' of the arm is generally the solution on newer cars; however, as your car is now older, perhaps go for replacing the spring first and then look at the arms. I believe, although I may be mistaken, that some Morgan parts companies actually sell upgraded springs - so this may be worth a look.

apologies for heading off at a tangent but this is TM is it not..?

Way back in the mists of time I had a similar issue on my Mini....! It does seem others suffered it too, and to the extent that an accessory company created a set of white plastic aerofoils which could be clipped on to the wiper arms and supposedly added a degree of extra pressure betwixt wiper blade and screen....I think the suggestion was that they cancelled out the effect of reducing pressure on the wiper rubbers as ones speed increased, for those of us who were really fast drivers, they were a must have.....(-:

Bosch Super Plus wiper blades have little spoilers on them, which are designed to have the same effect. I would imagine the strange Morgan size will mean they don't offer them in the format for the Aero, or any other Morgan; however, I believe the principal is the one you are describing, George cheers

Simon, thanks for taking the time to acknowledge that my thinking on wiper aerofoils is not entirely flawed.... thumbs

Your memory is correct they were de rigueur for all the Mini & Escort lads in the 70's
