Hey you don't think I'm going deaf in my old age do you Dave?
You should try Monty!
As anything over 4,400rpm my custom long runner exhaust manifold, sports cat and half size straight through silencer box will make your ears bleed
My very teenager 'Pops & Bangs' map also enhances the aural experience on the overun, I very much doubt there's anything left of the sports cat after it saw a few sessions at Prescott and Castle Combe
The gunpowder smell is wonderful
The Fusion Fabrications inlet completes my very childish work
Good afternoon, So, the P.N. on the silencer is AER 4500. The peculiarity is that it's welded to the pipe that extends all the way to the rear, as well as the front, so the 1105 suggested to Dave can't simply be swapped out without extensive modifications or even replacing the pipes. Strange but true. This type of silencer was installed at the factory. Suggestions?

I suggest visiting a good exhaust fabricator local to you, explain your objectives and let the fabricator build you an exhaust system to suit your requirements.
All very good suggestions, I personally would insulate you rear deck first, wont cost very much or take very long and if it improves the ambience in your cabin.....job done.

That's interesting. The factory side exit Sports exhaust for 3.7 Roadster also have the tail diffusers welded to the silencer back plate. In this case the pipe is so short as to be irrelevant.
Note the Plus 4 used the same silencer MEX1105 as 3.7 Roadster. This means the separate rear pipe and tail diffuser will fit your Plus 4 as well, confirmed by part number. I have these latter parts (MEX1184) surplus plus hanger, after fitting above sports pipes. PM if interested as all you will then need to convert to standard quieter factory system is an MEX1105 silencer - unfortunately I sold both of mine.

Hi Dave, so the silencer you mentioned on eBay seems to be the right one. I tried to buy it, but unfortunately the seller only enabled UK sales. I contacted him through eBay and he says he can't change the shipping settings. I'm sorry because the price was very good. He suggested I have it purchased from a friend in the UK, but unfortunately, since I don't know anyone in the UK, I'll have to pass. They asked me €580 to build one. by max
A bit of a silly question and sorry for any thread drift, but how do I tell if my 2019 Plus 4 110 edition has the "sports" exhaust? Does it look different from the standard exhaust?
No Adam, You need to find the minute plate welded to the outer end of the box, it's usually on the top surface. it will either have MEX1105 0r MEX1107. I'm not being funny but there really isn't that much difference between them sound wise. If you want a really sporty sounding exhaust then I'd suggest a librands sport exhaust from the cat back with or without a side exit pipe. At a point in time around the introduction of the Gdi engine the 1107 was the standard fitment.
