It's the labour that makes up most of the cost; if I recall correctly, Williams indicated it was about 4 hours to fit.

That's exactly my Gaston. As I said, the lower ring doesn't fit in terms of diameter. It's too small. You need the original from Morgan.

I also wanted to change the fuel tank cap. Only the Morgan model is compatible. The Newton ones don't have the same hose connections.

On mine, I bought an stainless reducer/adaptor so I could use a Newton 'lower ring' and fit it to the Morgan hose.

Replacing the existing fuel cap on early CX models is interesting for aesthetic reasons, but sometimes also due to practical reasons! Thanx.

Marc, just get rid of the existing locking mechanism and try to negotiate something at Louwman for a Pinnacle cap. Simon has lots of experience on installing, so maybe there is also "room" in the fitting price! It's certainly very practical, not only beautiful!
