Simon, I spend way too much time in recent years watching YT vids, and have seen many of JayEmm`s Ferrari vids, some of which highlight issues that he has dealt with causing him much frustration. Bottom line is that he is a YT influencer and will pick on subjects likely to attract the most views and comments, though to be fair he does seem not to promote a for or against attitude on anything that I could detect... He has made a couple of vids on Morgan by which one can perhaps judge his modus operandi..?
John, your artificial article has missed a key point, Ferrari include free servicing for seven years and four years warranty, they’re actually very cheap to run.😁

George, I'm in agreement with your opinion on both his approach and reasons (eg views and comments); however, I did find the documenting of overall quality issues, specifically with regards to trim, interesting. Especially as they mirror those of owners I know. Ferrari are not alone in this but at the price point, I do not believe it is unfair to expect better. Equally, I know Aston suffer(ed?) similarly (wooden trim bowing and cracking on the DB dash being one I can recall). And, closer to home, we know Morgan are not immune to it. I often wonder if the approach at the luxury end of the market is 'it needs to last for three-four years from new because after that it will be out of warranty' and the original owner will have probably sold it on, so no need for the manufacturer to worry about it! Perhaps I'm looking at older cars through rose tinted specs because, and as with most things, material object seem less built to last and more built until they are out of warranty.
(or perhaps I am just bitter because two 'new' white goods appliances have faults that render them useless one month after they are out of warranty. One issue being a latch failing (made of pop-metal) and when the service engineer came out, I expected him to replace the singular part (probably a £1.00 piece, at most!) and he declared, "oh we can't just replace the catch, you need an entire new door unit!" Upon further questioning, it seems they used to supply just the latch, on the previous model, but on the latest model (which seems to happen every year!), they can now only replace the entire door. When I said 'that is pretty wasteful', the company line was "well, we can recycle the old door...")
As for influencers, click & bait springs to mind. DaveW said in another thread that he stopped reading car magazines because he realised the opinions of journalists were no more valuable than his own (I paraphrase); my attitude to influencers is, for the most part, aligned with Dave's thoughts but perhaps a degree less charitable due to the often sensational approach of many and the desire to try and monetise every touchpoint in their world.
There is one exception on YouTube - Harry Metcalfe (HarrysGarage) maintains journalistic rigour in his road tests to a greater degree than many of his peers on that medium.

If you are smart enough or lucky enough to afford a Porsche or Ferrari, and like some of us on here, daft enough to have the urge to buy one before you peg it then do it.
Not sure how Luddite would analyse this, but I have a De Tomaso specialist a couple of miles away so part of my lizard brain stem and almost extinct 80’s boy racer remnant almost had me bidding on this 20 minutes in to the auction.
Common sense prevailed(unless it’s worth half a mill in a few years)

Clipper, interesting machine for sure, though I would need to add perhaps a further 20% to the negatives that ruled out Ferrari ownership for me on potential wallet damage. Truth be told, purchasing the Porsche was a diminishing time of life left, with a bit of man maths thrown in, along with some degree of everyday practical thinking that tipped the balance in the decision making process... No doubt plenty of over thinking too... !
