I want to replace the oil/breather hoses between oil tank/engine. I’m having a very hard time finding any that are suitable replacement sold in the US. The difficult part is that the current ones in place have printing which clearly indicate they are anti-static. See below for actual hose on vehicle currently.

Since I’m not original owner, I don’t know if these are original. I saw in the APL some specs on the hose and reference to Merlin Motorsport but that hose makes no mention of being anti-static or conductive so we can assume it isn’t.

Anyone find a replacement that’s conductive/anti-static or is the hose I have not original and original one has no mention of being conductive/anti-static?

Seems to me you are waay overthinking this.

You simply need a quality hose that is temperature and material rated for hot oil. There are many choices available in the US. I use Earl's socketless hose as I generally change out slip fit hose and clamps for AN hardware, but that's just my preference. I changed out the oil hoses on my car almost immediately after purchase (used) because the factory hoses (which on my 2012 car were not marked "anti static") were hard and starting to show evidence of cracking at five years old.

Edit: Thought about this, and decided you may have no background in practical engineering, automotive or otherwise, so apologies if my original post sounded harsh. While I would argue there is no practical need for anti static hose in the oil system of the M3W, it certainly doesn't hurt. Also did some quick research on hoses available in the US. It's not uncommon for hoses to have anti static properties, but unless they are manufacturing it to a defined spec, it will not be printed on the hose. You simply need to query the OEM manufacturer of the hose to find out.

It’s entirely possible I’m overthinking it. I am actually an engineering manager..and ran a lab that tested what static shock can do. It’s not a healing mechanism:) Understanding how static discharges puts pinholes in materials, fuel vapors being ignitable, fluids flowing through a hose can build up charge, and the Morgan being a Morgan, led me to this question since the hose on mine said anti-static.

I would agree with Bitsobrits, no real need for anti-static hose on the M3W. The pressure and operating temperature range is more of a consideration, it needs to be a working pressure of around 400 psi and at least 120c max temperature.

I looked at bringatrailer images for M3W’s sold and all seemed to have the hose I have. So it looks like it is original.
