We have found that the original music recording volume if not at the same level and consistent from song to song, the volume output differs as it plays the different tracks in the Morgan. The standard Morgan system is not brilliant and to be honest I can't always be bothered to fiddle around and pair up the system to a phone especially for short stop /start journeys, so I tend to drive without the music. The ideal solution to me would be a self contained blue tooth system not dependant on a phone, including a radio facility and card slot, with a remote near the driver, you can link a sat nav.upto for speaker instructions.
Or even better a basic sat nav option on the driver's info screen...........pairing up the phone every time you use the car can become a ball ache, if its your daily driver...please note Morgan for future development of in car entertainment..If Morgan did have a sat nav on the info screen, then switch the rev counter and speedo places over, so the driver can read the speedo, more important these days on speed controlled roads and the engine noise is normally a good enough barometer of engine speed with the over rev cutout there for idiots.
The CX is such a competent car, it can be your daily driver and Morgan needs to focus slightly more on making its versatility in that role more expansive and complete with eg better info system........

When a volume control is at the max the potentiometer is short cicuited. It is the smartphone volume wich control the system. It is the same as you want to instal a preamp on an integrated amp. You have to put the volume of the amp at the max and it is the preamp controlling the volume. But you dont touch the volume knob in the car after .

How's the car going these days, you must have put some miles up on it by now, must admit best thing we did was get a CX.

Here is the my 22 manual Bluetooth® Module The Bluetooth® streaming module allows music playback from a Bluetooth® compatible device (e.g. smartphone or tablet). To pair your device, turn the ignition key, enable Bluetooth® on your device. The Morgan vehicle will appear in the list of available devices as “MusicStream” or “Morgan”. The pairing process only needs to be performed once per device. Play audio using your device and it will be heard through the vehicle speakers. The playback volume can be adjusted using the knob under the dashboard as well as the volume control on the device itself. NOTE: The system does not provide hands free calling operation. I have similar instructions in my MY23 manual, but with the significant difference that it doesn't refer to controlling volume 'on the device', together with a bundle of warnings below that text (e.g. don't throw your phone out of the car whilst driving because you will lose the signal). The warning about 'max volume' I gave above relates only to the premium audio system, which I assume is the Sennheiser, though different companies seem to have different interpretations of the word 'premium'. The Bluetooth® streaming module allows music playback from a Bluetooth® compatible device (e.g. smartphone or tablet). To pair your device, turn the ignition key and enable Bluetooth® on your device. The Morgan vehicle, if not fitted with the Premium sound system will appear in the list of available devices as “MusicStream”. The Morgan vehicle, if fitted with the Premium sound system will appear in the list of available devices as “Morgan” followed by a number that is unique to your vehicle. The pairing process only needs to be performed once per device. Play audio using your device and it will be heard through the vehicle speakers. The playback volume can be adjusted using the knob under the dashboard. NOTE: The system does not provide hands free calling operation.

John, you only need to pair your phone once. The phone and the car remember each other and auto-connect thereafter.

I wish that was true, I hate mobile phones, haven't had one since I retired 21 years ago. So I've a hand me down ex wifes phone for just music and sat nav on a pay as u go sim. But everytime the phone is away from the car, when I come back its a search for the blue tooth connection all over again, so it swiping thru screens etc. It doesn't always find the phone, but usually the phone cant find car blue tooth or they just wont connect...so I just don't bother if its a short journey or I'm in and out the car doing errands/shopping, as I don't leave the phone in the car if I'm in and out of it as it can attract the wrong type of interest/attention..
It maybe that my bluetooth phone is not the latest blue tooth spec......but for me at the moment it's not a case of phone on and it recognises me straight away its a bit of a effort.........and not always successful. Even Sue's new phone seems to have a connection problem from time to time........I think I would prefer an old fashioned stereo.............or find a blue tooth device I can leave in the car, with a slot for cards with music, or even have a radio as well that removes the need for carrying a phone.

But you dont touch the volume knob in the car after . ,The handbook gives no mention of this (unless I've missed something). You cannot even play the thing unless the engine is running. Reading thierry's post, volume can only be adjusted with the phone if you inadvertently turn the car volume the wrong way (which is easy to do as turning anti clockwise increases rather than reduces the volume). Upgrade was included in the spec of the car I bought 2nd hand. Happy if someone can explain where I have gone wrong but personally if I was buying new the £3500 would be spent elsewhere.

Turns out it was my phone Bluetooth settings were causing the problem not the car, so you can play music without the engine running. Still think it's a lot of money for a few speakers though.

It's in keeping with a Mog...which if we're honest is a lot of money for four wheels and an engine installed into a parts bin kit car

I have a Sennheiser system in my Mercedes Coupe, and whilst it's a good system, it's in a closed car with less background amd wind noise etc so much quieter inside than a Morgan, with lots of different speakers just about everywhere, I wouldn't pay £3k extra/more for it. THE standard system is ok for an open topped car, I can hear the music at motorway spreeds, not a great depth/quality from the speakers, but I'm sure better speakers would help
Could the same be achieved by replacing the standard system with a specialist installation for less? No matter how much money one might spend on trying to improve the sterio system in my old Trad +8, I suspect my own cost benefit analysis would decree that it would match the idea of fitting an ash tray to a m/cycle... Well at least to my old ears... (-: As ever, each to their own..
