Much cheaper to have originals powder coated. Just saying Cheaper yes, more beautiful..... highly debatable, saving money was not my objective here. For those of you looking to follow the original look, I can confirm the quality of these heavy cast stainless bases is truly outstanding, they also look absolutely correct and just as Morgan intended. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/0jNXsn16/IMG-20260711-WA0008.jpg) Cheap no, quality made and 100% original looking...... Absolutely no question Highly recommended!

Yep, I've had a set on mine for years. Much better than the poxy old factory things. Back in the day when the late Peter Worrall was running Heart of England I think I must have bought one of every item he did.

Back in the day when the late Peter Worrall was running Heart of England I think I must have bought one of every item he did. Me too! I’ve just received three NOS wheel caps of his from Morgan Motors NY in the US to replace those butchered by a tyre fitter - the garage has paid for them.

Yep, I've had a set on mine for years. Much better than the poxy old factory things. Back in the day when the late Peter Worrall was running Heart of England I think I must have bought one of every item he did. Did he ever offer stainless steel door handle escoutchens? Here's my offside one, as you can see it's quite badly pitted, and TBH the nearside one isn't much better. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/BHPnP8p1/20260712-114453.jpg) I appreciate new door handles complete with fresh Mazak escoutchens are available, I could buy a set and clear coat the escoutchens for a longer life but it seems wasteful. Given Monty's handles are actually fine, I'd love a pair of stainless escoutchens as they're the last pitted Mazak fittings left on Monty. Like the pitted mirror bases, the Mazak door handle escoutchens need to go If anyone knows where I can buy a set, please let me know? Thanks, Dave.

If anyone knows where I can buy a set, please let me know? I'd try somewhere like Vintage Car Parts, they do chrome handles and might know where to get stainless: https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/c...-escutcheons-exterior-chrome-nickel-door

Much cheaper to have originals powder coated. Just saying Cheaper yes, more beautiful..... highly debatable, saving money was not my objective here. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and it suited the theme of customising on my car. Many years on they still look like this. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/vCTXscKc/9HIVTt-J.jpg) I'm a great fan of stainless fittings BTW so have nothing against it per se. I carry a large stock of nuts, bolts and washers in the garage regularly topped up.

I can testify to Librands polished stainless steel mirror bases and round mirrors. They look amazing and are an easy replacement although quite costly.
