Bidding is at £86,000, with 12 hours to go. I suspect the seller would set the reserve north of £100k. According to the website, provisionally sold: Winning bid £98,000 End time 18/09/26, 19:13

Whilst it was a bit of a bargain, well a considerable saving anyway, don't forget there would be a buyers premium, which would probably add a couple of thousand, so around the £100 k mark then, however I'm not upset as it was not my colour.

I'm not suggesting that this is the case with this particular auction; however, I'm no longer surprised when I see certain Morgan (and other) cars come up for auction, get 'sold', and then end up either back in another auction within a month or up for sale again with a normal ad.
I've watched, and been involved in two, auctions where the genuine bidders seem to drop away and then, perhaps, other parties seem to bid just to increase the price or get it to the reserve. It is more than likely just my perception but I've lost some confidence in the transparency of certain online auctions.

I agree Simon, I often follow the bidding on this site and it often leaves me with a suspicious feeling.

I’m always suspicious when there’s either a “sudden change in circumstances” or a reluctance to show details that are (reasonably) requested. Buyers premium on collecting cars is 6% plus VAT, with a maximum of £7k, which is almost what the premium on this car will be.

I know of one of the 9 Midsummer Coupes being sold for 450k plus vat! I saw one being driven on the Foss Way a few weeks ago, I was so shocked to see one actually being used I blinked and nearly missed it
