So in summary... if you got your car driving license on or after Jan 19 2013, you now need a motorbike license in (at least) Germany when driving your M3W or Super3? Yes, and also be over 21

No, unless you are German - in which case I understand they have the same derogation as the UK so a German Type B car licence also covers a German driving a trike in Germany.

To add fuel to the fire - presumably the converse applies and an EU licence holder who passed their driving test after the 19th Jan 2013 will need a Type A Motorcycle licence to drive a M3W or Super3 in the UK
