Beautiful job. Can't have been cheap...the thought of the paintwork absorbing all that Swissvax shocked2

A couple of things about the paint.......I argued with a guy on a factory tour a few days ago about the paint. He said he was in the industry and ALL non metallic car paints had a clear coat finish....whilst I said that Morgan did not. Looks like I won that one! Also, the car is still quite new...the factory told me to wait at least 3 months before any serious polishing as the paint took time to harden.

I really admire these detailing companies...well the expert ones. How they managed to avoid taking the paint of the rivets and polish right up to the edge of the Morgan decal with damaging it is something! I thought they'd lost some paint off some of the lower rivets until I looked at the before photo...I wonder why they were left bare?

Wow!
I must be using dirty sandpaper and a scourer on my car, I have noticed that under flourescent light the swirls are there to annoy me.
I didn't think they coud be removed, but now I know better!
What great job.
All the best
Tony

Fantastic job done on the 3W. Without a good waxing flat colours will get a patina very quickly.

Admittedly quite excellent post-Morgan work.

But... here's my frank concern (which I cringe to mention)... why should a new owner be expected to find the talent and then bear the high cost to bring his freshly-produced 3W up to proper delivery standards???

"Swirls... hazing... without proper finishing... no clear coat... remember this is a brand new car... paint was rubbing some metal, causing unrepairable damage... "

Sorry if I've missed something. This seems appalling at this price point, and with the reputation of Morgan. If as purported, it would be an automotive embarrassment. And if I were 1560, I'd send the detailing bill directly to Morgan for reimbursement.

I'm pleased you mentioned that Steve, as those points were going through my mind as well. I can only think that this car did not go directly to the detailers from the factory, but had had some use first with 1560, which is when the light paint damage occurred? I think the various videos he posted of the car getting some action were taken before this work? [Or am I getting confused with another new dark green car?]

All credit to the guys who did the work, the car now looks fantastic and I guess the paint will now be better protected for the future. I dare say that a better and more careful cleaning and repolishing regime will have to be adhered to from now on in though?

I would however be interested to hear if the paint was damaged after delivery or in fact does indeed come from the factory like this?

If you go to the factory and look at the cars in the final inspection area where the paint and bodywork is closely inspected you'd understand that the quality of paintwork far exceeds the industry norm.

Any new car that's been washed in the usual way ie. not by detailers will benefit from professional detailing.
