I love the look of the wing mounted side lights - it's an iconic part of the Morgan look. But the factory no longer fits them as standard. Are they still available as an option.

I would be interested also to hear views on the look. Do you like the aesthetic of the wing mounted lights or prefer the clean Sport look ?

I much prefer them with the wing mounted lights - as you say they are part of "the Morgan look". Fortunately I bought my +4 just before they were no longer fitted as standard. They're not listed as an option on the car creator on the MMC website, so maybe they're not still available.

I prefer the clean look of the sport, narrow body, no side lights, no bumpers, no spare wheel, black wire wheels, neverflex hood.

Would have bought also something like the Caterham's "black pack" if available.
Also at the time of my order, could not get a black grille and matte black or grey paint. (Not sure if swmbo would have approved...)

But that's just me, a little bit crazy3...

I love the sidelights especially driving at night. Places like Holden sell them as aftermarket fitments.

I have checked with my dealer and he has confirmed they are not fitted by Morgan any more as they infringe some blasted EC regulation. They can be requested as after market fitments (and I have seen the nice ones sold by Holdens). So at least it's available as a dealer fitted option.

Just found three designs of 'Torpedo' sidelights in the Europa catalogue, take a look on www.europaspares.com Gerry.

I've bought a pair to fit to my 4/4. Just trying to find out how to wire them up before i take the plunge and start drilling! Rumour has it that the wiring is still there tucked up under the wing somewhere!

I got mine at the Race Retro show earlier this year from this place. stafford vehicle wiring

They do a wide range, mine are made of chromed brass and lovely quality and as per the Lucas ones fitted to Morgans. The owner said he supplied Morgan from time to time.

There was a 4 seater in the factory last week in bare metal with the front wings drilled for the sidelights...so you must still be able to request them.

I like the look of the wing mounted lights, the fact that the factory are no longer allowed to fit them make them all the more "original"
