What tyre pressures? I run my +4 at 25 psi vs 22 as then it misses the speed humps on my road

The plus 4 has a much better sump clearance than the roadster. Nevertheless, I soon found that I had to increase ground clearance a bit. I went up from 195/60R15 to 195/65R15. This gives almost 10mm increased ground clearance and improved comfort on bad road surfaces.

Harald Harald, do you have a of the car. I have considered doing this as I think the car will look better as well as saving the tailpipe from grounding.

What tyre pressures? I run my +4 at 25 psi vs 22 as then it misses the speed humps on my road I am currently running 1.8 bar (26 psi) as recommended by Borghi. With the tyres fitted 1.5 bar (as per the manual) makes the car not only about half a centimetre lower but too squirmy on the road. I tried running 2 bar but the ride was too hard. I purchased a top quality tyre pressure guage so as to be able to control the pressure acurately all the time. The guages at service stations are always wrong.

I only use my pump/ guage & agree on the inaccuracy of the garage ones.
I also found though there is a real need to check them regluarly with tubeless wires vs normal rims

Here is a photo I posted earlier. Note the dog with his safety harness on. The car has a third seat belt stalk in the rear seat. The wheels are 195/65R15 except the spare wheel which is 165R15 to save weight and space. Harald

Interesting point about the spare. With mine the spare is hard up against the high level stop light. A taller tyre would not fit. Perhaps we need variable ride height like a Citroen. Just kidding - really I am.

Asked about raising the ride hight of my plus 4 so that we can drive over our multitude of road speed humps at the factory last week but they were unable to provide a solution ...Front can be changed but not the rear ..!!!

Perhaps we need variable ride height like a Citroen. I have in fact recently seen a roadster 4 seater with air suspension and adjustable ride height at the rear! Harald

If you have spacers fitted between your back axle and the springs ( a lot of the cars do) these presumably could be replaced with thinner ones to raise the rear ride height.
