We use them in the ink business to match colours. My tram across EMEA make around 120,000 t of ink per year used in packaging and labels. The Xrite is a nice bit of kit

iv never seen an Xrite 4 angle for a few hundred pounds, most paintshops are subsidized for this by there agreement with the paint supplier. i would be very interested if someone could supply me a true 4 angle at that price.

For a paint match on my Sports Red Roadster I walked down the shelves at Halfords and picked a very good match from the Nissan range, wouldn't want to spray a whole panel with it but for touching in small chips it is indistinguishable from surrounding paint

Hi Thanks for all your replies. Using the info I have found the two links below which look promising - any one used these or comments??. http://morrisminorspares.co.uk/shop/prod...b39a9c6e801276ahttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Touch-Paint-MORG...0689&sr=1-1As to that work thingy I used to do it until recently but have now found that purchasing a Morgan more than compensates (timewise). Although the cashflow is in the wrong direction. Thanks again Chris

Hi Chris, I have a '96 plus 8 in Connaught Green, I found a touch up pen kit in Halfords which I've used and is a very close match. I'll check the the code tonight and let you know (I'm one of those unfortunate soles who stil w*rks!) Managed to get in the garage at last, I use Halfords stone chip and scratch repair kit, Ford Tourmaline Green.

Have you tried the factory? They should have the code for the paint and you can then get some mixed to the code. A good paint sullier/paintshop should be able to mix some. They have all the components and equipment to do so.

Hello,
The factory is an option as I am looking for a touch up pen or something similar for a 2008 4/4 in Le Mans green.
Any ideas of an equivalent match?
Thanks
Stuart

Hi All, I got a touch up kit from Morgan shop at Malvern - it has factory matched touch-up, a blender and a polish together with microbrushes & cloths - a bit pricey at £30+ but it has got rid of stone chip marks /scratches without the usual"craters" or bumps which have always resulted from my previous attempts at touch-ups. And you get a factory match for your car colour.
