You say that, but I was up at derwent reservoir a few weeks ago which should be pretty much at its fullest just now, and the water level was not much higher than when I was last there in october - mind you the last couple of weeks will have helped!

I don't know about London but is it like Sydney v. Melbourne in Australia? Sydney actually gets a higher rainfall than Melbourne, but Melbourne has more rainy days. So statistics can be misleading if you don't get the full story. Melbourne is wetter than Sydney. (PS. I have lived most of my life to date in the Sydney region)
