My guess by the end of last month was 500 and Brian confirmed that. Whether 500 or 600 is not important and I do know that there were about 200 S I cars (of course the last cars didn't look like the first cars). Furthermore I know that the S 3 started around chassis number 400. Therefore we are talking about 100 or 200 cars until know. I just wanted to express that the Aero 8 models have been changing very often and that a ratio of 100 special edition cars to 200 normal cars is rare.

In future I will be much more careful with my remarks.

I spotted your original smiley and realise you were just jesting. I was just getting across (maybe incorrectly) that we had reached 600. Surely my comments and "doh" smiley show that this is not a big deal?

I actually generally agree with you re-100 limited edition etc.

As an aside....

We found that for the S1 at least... the car changed a lot even with very small batches of only a handfull in some cases showing completely different aspects to the same overall design...

I think the doors were changed 4 seperate times (that I'm aware of).... Our 2 Aeros Both S1 had completely different door trims for example... with the later cars after chassis 177 moving back to the original style.

Suspension set up and geo changed as well... both our cars handle completely differently.

Anyhow.. it seems that the later cars generally are more consistant with their build characteristics.

But then again.. the Aero has been moving steadily away from the original purer design as it's gotten older.

Judging from the comments from Aeroman it seems there may be Trad Aero (if that's what you can call S1 Aero's) aspects to the future concept/test car shown reciently.. posibily similar to what Porsche had to do with the 997.... when the lights were changed back to the Pre 996 style as the Porsche community thought the 996 was 1 step too far away from the original concept.

Anyhow.. I'm too tired to blabber on... night all.
