Friday is coming - and I'm off to Exeter to pick up "my" car. Now I'm thinking about luggage for those weekend trips away for the two of us (self and wife, not self and car). "My" car is fitted with a S/S luggage rack. I already have a Samsonite suitcase like the one Simmonds sell, which would be good as it has an o-ring seal. I thought I might get a local sailmaker to make me a cover (the Simmonds cover is v.expensive). I also found these: http://www.hillsalive.co.uk/page4.shtml...has anyone tried the Hillsalive bags? - they look ideal to me. regards Nigel

I'm only a newbie at this, but we're finding the space good for odds and ends, including coats and hats - suitcase holds enough for the two of us for quite some time. Would filling up the 'parcel shelf' with the Hillsalive bags cause problems with storing any other bits you have?

I only know Rob Hill has been a Morgan owner for years and therefore he knows more than enough about luggage and travelling in Morgans.

I have a very old 'portmanteau'which is just the right size for one, it fits behind the seats and still leaves room for 'Odds and Ends'. For two, I bought an 'expendable' wheelie Bag from 'Woolies' which can accommodate a lot more and yet remains out of sight when in the car and easy to handle out of the car.
Just ordered my first Luggage Rack as I need room for the dog!

Left myself wide - open to misinterpretation with that one! With acknowledgment to 'Wilfred' for permission to use his photograph to show the designated location for 'Natashua' - a long legged 'Dobdach' - in the Mog. Roderich Very true, but individual needs differ - we pack one less dog than some, and two more concertinas (sometimes) than most.
