Hi everyone,

I was hoping that it was going to be me, but after talks with the owner which have been going on since late last year, it finally went to someone from the London area he paid a little more than I could afford, I’m totally gutted about it but will now have to start my search for an Aero 8 over again.

unlucky Gyp - keep your eyes peeled, and I'm sure one will come up.

I think as long as the service book is stamped in the right places, and the bodywork is is good nick, then any of the options you require can be added for relatively little outlay.

Be prepared ot let colour grow on you though - I wanted a black one, and spent ages trying to find one - then this car turned up and I fell for it, despite it being bright blue...

Will do Mr_tony, like you I had a colour in mind but was blown away by the one I've just missed, in the end I had to have a cut off point I just couldn’t keep raising bar.

Smart decision Gyp.

It is easy to talk yourself up and up on price.

While the Aero is not an expensive car to maintain, it isn't a cheap one either. Therefore, as Rich stated, it is better to buy one with a FMSH and then use funds as and when to maintain (and modify the car if wanted) than stretch yourself and pray nothing goes wrong.

With respect to colour, when you're buying pre-owned I tend to decide which colours I wouldn't want, rather than ones I would - this way I keep my options open. I'd rather buy a car on condition than colour!

Bide your time and a nice Aero will be yours. All of us keep an eye on the cars for sale and will flag them up as and when they come onto the market - so you have plenty of pairs of eyes looking out for you!

Cheers

Thanks Simon, I'll keep that in mind and hopefully find a good one.

Unlucky Gyp,

Keep coming back here and I'm sure you will find what you are looking for. I did the rounds of the web sites and dealers and drew a blank but found what I was looking for at a price I could afford through TM.

Well done TM. cheers

But can you improve the weather so I can get my car out of the garage?innocent
