Forgive me cant find the original thread. Someone asked about relays.......as you look at them from inside the car there are 5 smaller and one taller one on the right, the taller one is the Wiper and wiper delay relay then working towards the left (caution we know how MMC change things so double check) should be.....

START - FUEL PUMP - IGNITION ECU - FAN LOW SPEED - FAN HIGH SPEED.

(this is read in order right to left not an indication of the relay position)

Important thing to note is they MUST be diode protected type to stop back EMF (and ECU damage) They are OE Tyco relays and I have the part number somewhere in my database if I can find it I will post as I had a problem tracking down a supplier.

Just found my posting from some time ago on another sites archives....this is what I wrote about the relay sets on the models that have the strip of 5 plus the tall wiper relay on the frame behind the dash.......

Finally tracked down the UK main supplier in Luton and the part numbers been superseded PLUS the big news is the last batch of these is now in the UK and in the future there will be a new supply from China (who make the MMC Tyco ones anyway) but not sure when etc.

I have just bought the last 2 at the company in Luton for my own stock but their chap just emailed to say he has located another batch of around 20 so this is just a heads up if you want spares get in now as they may be more difficult in the future.

My suggestion is you drop him an email marked FAO Shaun Vincent 3waycomponents@gmail.com if you want some, they are just under a fiver each plus postage and he is a VERY helpful chap. Just mention Morgan relays and he knows the numbers.

For information I was quoted £15 plus VAT and postage for the same relay at my local Morgan Dealer.

I believe the Tyco number for the small relay is :-
Tyco 0-1432793-1

I bought some, just in case, from a company called Mouser Electronics in May.
(No connection, just a customer)

Following Spanner's post earlier in the year I called Shaun. At that time he did not have any so I tried Mouser who Had them in stock.
I paid about 2.59 GBP each.
I have not tried or tested them, I just have them "just in case" one fails.

Disappointing as Shaun said he was getting 20 in, maybe the other sites members block bought? That number Tyco 0-1432793-1 does not come up on a search of the Mouser website so could have changed again unless you have a later number?

I have extracted a section from the Plus 4 and Roadster wiring diagram to keep in the car that shows the fuse position.

Following this thread and Spanner Juggler's post I have also extracted two sections relating to the relays. The section showing wire connections is probably not all that useful.

Note: there are also several other relays, such as the aircon relay, scattered around the under dash wiring.

Here they are:

Just type in 1432793 in the search field and it will come up.

Cheers, not a lot of information on the actual relay on the website, could you confirm they are diode protection type please?
