Astrali steering wheels are a cheaper alternative and you get what you pay for. Personally I would pay the extra for a Moto- lita or as I have done and fitted a Nardi wheel.

They've certainly been around a long time, the parts supplier I worked for in the 70's used to sell them & IIRC my very first used 4/4 had one fitted

I have a suspiscion that the ugly (as a result of the crash pad) standard steering wheel on trad Morgans is/was an Astrali. It is a much better looking wheel if you simply pull the crash pad off although an alternative horn button is needed.

Where did you get a boss suitable for a Nardi wheel?

I think it’s a classic “you get what you pay for”. Go for the moto-lita

I've used Mountney (which are the same as Astrali) for years on my Land Rovers, and have had a 14" and now a 13" on my Morgan. Have had no issues with them and much cheaper than Moto-Lita (my 13" was £29!).

Just a thought, if you are changing from a matt black spoked wheel to a nice shiny polished aluminium one, the reflection it can create on the wind screen can be a bit of a nuisance on occasion..?
