Is anyone else here addicted to car magazines?
I subscribe to Evo and Octane and usually buy Classic and Sports Car and Classic Cars Magazine every month, plus Road Rat and Magneto (quarterly). And then there's Miscellany, of course. I have a huge pile of magazines building up and not enough time to read them. It's pushed my consumption of "real" literature to the sideline - as a literature lover I always liked to keep up my "serious" reading, but now it's just car magazines and books. I'm starting to feel guilty! Don't worry, when you are forced to 'self isolate' you can catch up

I'm just as bad if not worse. I subscribe to Jaguar World, Classic Jaguar, Octane, Magneto, Classic & Sports Cars, Classic Cars, I also get the JDC mag, the JEC mag and Hemmings plus any free offers that appear from the publishers from time to time. I am addicted just as much as any druggie but at least it is all harmless fun.
Here for a good time not a long time!! Reg

The Readly app has a number of good magazines for just a few quid per month. https://gb.readly.com

Check if your library has a subscription to any service. I can login to PressReader ( www.pressreader.com) with just my library card number. It's got most of the best car mags* plus the daily papers and doesn't cost me a penny. I'm very pleased with that and I'm not even from Yorkshire. *Pressreader doesn't have "The Automobile" sadly, but then neither does Readly.

Well, seems like I'm not the only one then But then, Like Cooperman suggests above, with self - isolation I should have plenty of time to read!

David, I started buying Motor cycle mechanics circa 1965, then on to Car Mechanics, when old cars were referred to as bangers, to then move on to the first editions of the "Classic" press when the bangers were escalated to such high status almost overnight..(-: Bought those mage religiously till the interweb arrived, and only over the last year so I binned the majority of them, I used them as reference material over many a year, and spent many an hour trying to find specific articles I remembered having read... A great way to pass time, though the interweb access to ALL kinda undermined the viability of the collection.... I now have freed up loads of cupboard and shelve space to store toilet rolls... (-: We may have to start using our car magazines for toilet roll before long

Was a subscriber to Car magazine from the first issue and used to enjoy LJK Setright who was a talented engineer and musician and writer. Get the magazine now as a freeby with the bank account, and its a motoring equivalent of Beano. Written by kiddies for kiddies with endless blurb on German saloon cars and "infotainment" whatever that is.
Get a magazine from the Ferrari owners club - comes with the sub and is boring. Subscribe to Enzo which is excellent.
