Robbie... I understand your hesitation going without some type of rain cover....you live in the rainiest city in Europe right? :-) Me and a friend have been talking about driving up the coast of Norway so there is a chance/risk that we could be coming your way.....

DaveK There is no problem to remove the original windscreen and mount the Brooklands somewhere "under" where the original windscreen would sit, but it would be a real hassle to change back and forth. On the newer roadsters the brackets for the windscreen has one bolt from the inside of the car which means that you have to take the whole dash away which would also be needed to get to the bolts for the Brooklands......

I enclose some pictures on the Morganpark.de kit so you can see what I am talking about. I think it is a really clever design and you only have to do three bolts on each side from the outside of the vehicle and the if you rework the frame brackets for the original windscreen it would also only be three bolts on each side.

I had the windscreen off during winter just to see how to do it and it was quite straightforward but look on how MMC have made sure that the windscreen is waterproof....:-)

That looks a clever solution.

On my +4 there is the classic version of folding screen with Brooklands sceens behind.
To be honest I rarely fold the screen down as it is still in my view than.

But it is cool to just remove the screen and leave it in the garage.
Only four bolts on the classic screen frame...

My experience suggests most Morgans are put together on a Friday afternoon, my engine bay was full of razor sharp edges, no de-burring on sawn edges, assembled by poorly supervised workers and not true craftsmen. However the styling and beauty makes up for all the imperfections I find and I would be at a complete loss without it.

I was looking the the Morgan Park conversion a few years ago, but the price put me off, seeing the higher res photos does indicate the quality behind it though. They also say that they are developing a version for post '02 cars.

Nice car Mkiss:-) Yup it would have been easier if I had an old model since the brackets have changed on the newer ones I do not think the old brackets with the hinges for the foldable windscreen still fit.....Anyhow I would like to have either the Brooklands OR the original windscreen as I think it looks quite busy with both mounted.

Rovert...I agree the price for the Morgan Park was "hefty" but as you say, very high quality in stainless steel and with the wind deflectors under the Brookland screens and it also included the rearview mirror....really great craftsmanship. I have sent them an e-mail (in German) and they informed me that their kit do not fit the new roadster models....but maybe I should contact them again and ask?

Cat302....:-) yes...of course you are right and I do not know how MMC have been able to cast a spell on all of us that makes us still love the cars!! This is guaranteed the only car that you buy new and the first thing you do is to make a huge list of things that you have to change to make the car drivable and not to fall into pieces....:-)

I just sent Morgan Park an e-mail to ask them again if they have or will have a kit for the New Roadster Cars.....

We will see what they say!

Well I emailed Morgan Park about their Brookland Aeroscreens kit and I got the following answer:

Leider ist das BASYS Rennscheibensystem für Ihr Fahrzeug nicht lieferbar. Aktuell ist eine Entwicklung für späte traditionelle Morgans und deren Frontscheibenbefestigung nicht in Planung.

For those not speaking German....they sadly say that the current system do not fit my car and they do not currently plan any kit for later traditional Morgans.......So I guess that I have to make or to get the conversion kit made here locally somehow.

Back to the drawing board!
