A complete change of plans means that the 2.3 Duratec engine which I bought to put in my ARP4 will now not happen. I have put it here just in case anyone is contemplating an engine upgrade.
This engine is probably unique in that it has been built up from a brand new 2.3 Duratec block and head, using mainly Cosworth parts, but has stood unused for the past 16 - 17 years.
It was totally refreshed in 2020 just before I bought it, and there is a comprehensive account of what was done at the time.
This engine should produce around 260bhp and be very torquey, (which is why I bought it), is fitted with Cosworth roller barrel throttle bodies, dry sump, alternator, starter, flywheel and clutch, but will need an engine wiring loom as well as dry sump tank and manifold etc. I will include a slightly used Omex 710 ECU, already mapped for the Cosworth 260bhp engine, as supplied in the Caterham CSR 260, which means it will run from the word go and then only require minor tweaks to the map.
There are pictures on Facebook market place if you can find it.
I would like to realise £9,975 for this, which is probably far less than it would cost to build now.
Contact me for any further info, although be warned I do not know much about the original build, as the build sheet has been lost in the mists of time.
