Grigna, night photos
I know there are a few members who appreciate good photos so I could not resist posting these.
I will quickly disclaim any responsibility for these wonderful photos. They were taken by a professional local journalist Alessia Bergamini on the night of the 29th December 2012 under a full moon. She made a night time climb of the Grigna, the 2410 metre above sea level mountain behind Mandello del Lario, and published these photos on facebook where she is one of Alis's contacts.
The climb at night was in fine weather and on marked trails but would not have been without the danger of slipping on ice.
The refuge Luigi Brioschi (36 beds) is situated right on the peak of the mountain and I believe it is open all the year round.

What stunning photo's.
I am informed that The Dolomites have been blessed with large amounts of snow again this season (following up on your own beautiful photo's you shared with us earlier).
I forget that Lake Como has the enviable position of being an oasis of moderate tranquility, just far enough away from the hurly burly of the 'rat race.'
Thanks for sharing the photo's, keep them coming.
